In 2003, the Mercedes-Benz CLS created a new vehicle category that for the first time combined the elegance and dynamism of a coupé with the comfort and functionality of a sedan. For many years, the CLS was the only four-door coupé in its class.

Innovative LED high-performance headlights featuring adaptive light distribution are integrated into the LED Intelligent Light System.

The CLS 250 CDI has the first four-cylinder in-line diesel engine in this class. It is exceptionally economical, with 150 kW/204 hp and an A rating in the CO2 efficiency class.

The CLS 350 has a “sailing” function. In specific driving situations, the 7G-TRONIC PLUS disengages and allows the car to coast.

Since the CLS was launched in the fall of 2004, it has been purchased by more than 275,000 customers around the world.
